Warranty
Journey Health & Lifestyle™ warrants all our products to be free from defects in materials, workmanship and assembly. A standard twelve (12) months warranty from the original purchase date applies to the core list of Journey products under normal use in accordance with specifications and warnings and with some limitations, exclusions, restraints or extensions including but not limited to parts, labor, service and other specific considerations. (Specific additional limitations and extensions of warranty, particularly as they relate to the Journey Health & Lifestyle™ line of mobility products, can be found in the Addendum below.) If within the twelve-month warranty period, any component or part shall be proven to the satisfaction of Journey Health & Lifestyle™ to be defective, the product shall, at the option of Journey Health & Lifestyle™, be repaired or replaced. Contact Journey Health & Lifestyle™ before sending any product for warranty repair or replacement. Do not send any product without our prior written consent.
Limitations and Exclusions This warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear, damage in shipment, improper operation or failure to follow instructions according to the User Manual, component failure, improper storage, neglect of prescribed maintenance procedures, repair or attempted repair or modifications made or authorized by anyone other than Journey Health & Lifestyle™, normal gradual reduction in battery performance due to heavy use, deterioration due to external factors such as extremes in temperature or humidity, corrosive atmosphere or other natural events such as lightning, flood or circumstances beyond the control of Journey Health & Lifestyle™.
Addendum In addition to the previously cited provisions of the standard one-year warranty above, the frame, mechanical and electrical components including the motor of each mobility product in the Journey Health & Lifestyle™ mobility line is further specifically warrantied for the same twelve-month period. In addition, warrantied instead for a six- (6) month period are the originally supplied battery, tires, fabric seat, seat back and seat cushion, all guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six (6) months from the original purchase date.
If, within such warranty period, any component or part shall be proven to the satisfaction of Journey Health & Lifestyle™ to be defective, the product shall at the option of Journey Health & Lifestyle™ be repaired or replaced with new or refurbished product components. In some cases an installation kit with instructions may be provided to the owner to facilitate installation of a replacement product component. Warranty relating to mobility products does not include any labor charges incurred in product component installation. The warranty period of the repaired or replaced product shall terminate with the termination of the warranty period for the original product. The sole obligation of Journey Health & Lifestyle™, and the customer’s exclusive remedy under this warranty, shall be limited to such repaired or replaced product.
While everyone’s situation is different, the unique design of the UPbed Standard allows you to press one button to gently be raised to a nearly standing position. Imagine your bed doing most of the work for you, swinging out and up to help you stand and safely step from the bed independently. And the same easy process in reverse lowers you down to the position of your choice. If you can use a lift chair by yourself, then you likely can use an UPbed.

Will Medicare help pay for my UPbed Standard?
No. We work directly with the consumers and cannot bill any insurance companies. Your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of the cost if they deem it medically neccessary and your plan offers that type of coverage.
What are the delivery and installation options for my UPbed Standard?
We have "White Glove Delivery" for just $150, which includes delivery inside your home, unpacking and assembling your UPbed Standard in the location you have chosen, and ensuring that it is working properly. The delivery team will remove all packaging materials. Please note that insurance and sanitary concerns do not allow us to take away your old mattress/box spring and we cannot rearrange any furniture in your home (including making space for your new UPbed Standard).
Is it easy to operate?
Definitely. The UPbed Standard has a simple remote control that is designed to be easy for seniors. There are six easy-to-push buttons. Each button only does one thing to keep it simple. The remote control is on a wire so there are no batteries and no way to lose it. It even has a convenient clip to hang it on the armrests so it's always at hand.
Can I make the bed adjustments move faster or slower?
The UPbed Standard moves 'slow and steady' to keep you safe.The precision motors start and stop without the sudden, jerky feeling that comes with inferior adjustable beds.
Can I adjust the head area separately from my legs?
Yes! There are separate buttons on the remote control for raising or lowering your head...and raising or lowering your legs (bends at the knee area) from a 'chair shape' to fully flat. This gives you virtually infinite choices of positions to maximize your comfort whether reading, watching TV or getting that perfect position for a great night's sleep.
Why doesn't the mattress fall out of the bed frame when it stands up?
The engineers really worked overtime here to create an elegant solution. The UPbed Standard mattress cover does more than just protect the memory foam mattress...it actually zips onto the entire bed frame to hold it securely in place! The 4-way stretch fabric is both breathable for your comfort and designed to flex with the bed into whatever position suits you best.
Do normal sheets fit on the UPbed Standard?
Yes. The UPbed Standard is sold as a Twin XL bed. Standard Twin XL bed sized linens will fit just right.
What do I do with a top sheet and blanket before raising the bed to avoid tripping on them when standing up and walking away from my UPbed Standard?
Most UPbed Standard owners simply drape the top sheet and blanket over one of the armrests and tuck it in a bit so it stays in place as the bed raises you up. Your legs and feet are now uncovered, and you can walk away from your bed without worrying about tripping over them.
Will my existing headboard and framework?
No. The UPbed Standard is built with an attractive frame. It replaces all of your existing bed, including the frame and any headboard and footboard. The UPbed Standard's attractive design looks like furniture rather than a hospital bed, so there's no need for "covering it up" with headboards and footboards. Also, these would get in the way of the UPbed Standard's unique ability to stand you up to get out of bed safely and easily.
How do the armrests work?
Your safety is the top priority, and the unique armrests protect you in several ways. In their 'flat' position, they serve as bed rails to keep you from accidentally falling out of bed. When the UPbed stands you up, they're right there to hold as supports when standing in front of your bed. The padding is not bulky, and the fabric is textured to give you a better grip.
If you want to enter or leave the bed from the side, you or a helper can simply pull a knob to raise and lock them in their "upright" position. They'll be out of your way...yet close enough to grab with a hand if needed for stability. Some owners also prefer this position when exiting from the foot of their UPbed Standard. They're also each fully removable if you don't need one or both of them at any time.
Is there a battery backup in case of power outage?
Included with the bed is a standard 9-volt battery that will allow you to put the bed in a lay flat position in the event of a power outage. This is for emergency, one-time use only and will not operate the bed repeatedly.
Shipping After placing your order, please allow about 1 to 3 business days (Mon-Fri) to process your order and get it shipped out of the warehouse. After that, please allow another 4 to 5 days on the road. Generally, we tell our customers to expect a delivery within 5 to 8 total days from the day of purchase. We use standard ground shipping (UPS or FedEx) for most items, but larger items such as beds or recliners require freight shipping and usually take about 1 to 3 weeks for delivery. If you order a larger item that requires freight delivery, the shipping company will call you about a week before the estimated delivery date to schedule the drop off. Expedited shipping is currently not an option. We do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, any U.S. Territory, APO/FPO, or any other international address. Please note that orders could arrive in multiple packages. These shipping times are only estimates, as we occasionally experience delays due to supply chain issues.
Returns If you have any issues with your item, we are only a phone call or email away. We take care of all of our customers until they are satisfied with our products and service. If it's not right, we will find a way to make it right. We are happy to offer you a return within 30-days of the date of purchase. You will be responsible for any return shipping fees and a 2.9% processing fee. Lastly, some items may have no restocking fee, but some items may have a restocking fee that ranges anywhere between 5% to 20%. Every vendor is a little bit different, so please ask about your specific item for more information. To start a return, you can contact us at info@restoremobility.com or give us a call at 800-971-5369. To qualify for a return, the item must be in new/unused condition, and in the original box and packaging. Once your return is accepted, we’ll send you the instructions on how and where to send your package. Please note that most add-on accessories are non-refundable. Please also note that Journey UpBeds and Perfect Sleep Chairs are non-returnable items.
Damages/Issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. Once approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at info@restoremobility.com.
Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to go through the return process for the item you have, and once the return is accepted, you would then make a separate purchase for the new item.
Cancellations If you wish to cancel your order, please let us know as soon as possible. The sooner the better! In general, we will try to capture your payment at the time of shipment or after 7 days from the date of purchase to avoid any processing fees due to cancellation. However, if you choose to cancel your order after we have captured your payment, then you will be subject to a 2.9% processing fee.
